Spector Partners brings New Privacy and Employer Conspiracy Cases

Spector Partners is proud to announce that it has filed two new class action cases, one to close out 2018 and the other to ring in 2019.

On December 19, 2018 Spector Partners filed a class action suit in the United States District Court of Connecticut against Marriott International, Inc. and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Spector Partners believes that, as early as 2014, cyber criminals exploited vulnerabilities in Marriott and Starwood’s network and stole guest’s personal information, affecting as many as 500 million guests. The personal information included: names, phone numbers, email addresses, passport numbers, dates of birth, credit card numbers and credit card expiration dates. Spector Partners is bringing this suit for breach of (1) consumer protection, (2) negligence, (3) contract and (4) data privacy statutes.
