Spector Partners Secures another Settlement in the Drywall Litigation

On December, 7 2016, in In re Domestic Drywall Antitrust Litigation, a nation-wide price-fixing case against the major U.S. drywall manufacturers, in which Spector Partners was appointed Interim Co-Lead Counsel for direct purchaser plaintiffs, U.S. District Court Judge Michael Baylson (E.D. Pa.) gave final approval to a settlement with defendant Lafarge, North America, Inc., totaling $21,169,292.  Combined with the previously approved settlements with defendants USG and TIN, Spector Partners and its Co-Lead Counsel have achieved settlements totaling more than $65 million for direct purchasers of drywall.  Earlier this year, Spector Partners and its Co-Lead Counsel successfully defeated summary judgment against four defendants, including Lafarge, and are currently briefing class certification against the three remaining defendants.
